Its fine and extremely sturdy wire mesh sieves even the smallest pieces of food out of soups, and conversely allows the precious juice from cooked raspberries to simply drain through, for example. Thanks to the wide edge and the handle at the end of the blanching insert, it has a large surface area for pots and bowls, meaning that delicate vegetables, for example, can also sit directly in the blanching insert and blanch in hot water. The blanching insert can be easily cleaned in the dishwasher and then conveniently hung on a hook using the practical loop to save space.
